The tour starts from Čavljak, where there are two mountain lodges. The entire road to Bukovik is a well-maintained path that is wide enough for an off-road vehicle to pass through.

Apart from Čavljak and Bukovik, there are 4-5 mountain lodges along the trail where it is possible to have a lunch and refresh. The peaks of Crepoljsko (1524 m) and Bukovik (1534 m) offer a beautiful view of the entire Sarajevo Ozren and the surrounding mountains.

Description

Sarajevo's Ozren is a favorite local picnic spot for several reasons. It is close to the city, the terrain is accessible and all natural beauties are at your fingertips.

The Čavljak - Crepoljsko - Bukovik hiking tour is not technically demanding. Although it is 16 km long and requires a certain fitness level someone who is moderately fit should have no issue completing this tour.

Itinerary

Morning:

We gather at the Mountain Lodge "PSD Dzemal Bijedic" on Cavljak, at 09:00.
It is possible to come to the mountain lodge with your personal transportation.
The start of the tour towards Cavljak starts at 09:45

Midday:

During this hike, we pass the 4 other mountain lodge's on our way to Bukovik, where we can grab some refreshments or have a bite.
At 13:00 we reach the Bukovik, and have some rest and start our return hike.
