Skakavac Waterfall hike
You won’t need to be super fit, but you should bi able to hike for a day.
The tour starts above the village of Nahorevo. The entire path is traversed by a forest trail so you are in the shade even on the hottest summer days.
The tour is not technically demanding, so even those who are less fit are able to finish it with more frequent vacations. It is especially interesting to descend to the foot of the waterfall through the arranged path and the exit under the waterfall. There are several springs with drinking water on the trail.

Description
Skakavac Waterfall is located north of Sarajevo, and is some 12 km from the city center. Although not rich in water, due to its height of 98 meters. it is characterized by exceptional beauty, especially in winter when it is frozen. For that reason, it was placed under state protection in 1954. Today, the area around the waterfall is arranged as a real picnic area, with lots of billboards and information about the flora and fauna in the area.

Itinerary
Morning:
- We gather at Hotel "Promaha" at 09:00
- We get geared up and start the hike at 09:30
- Hike towards Skakavac, sightseeing, lunchtime
- Return to the starting point.
