A few minutes drive from the center of Sarajevo, rises a unique gem - Trebević. The old Sarajevo picnic area and the place of the most beautiful gatherings is becoming more and more visited every day.
Today we planned an easy walk around Trebević. A gloomy morning in Sarajevo. We drive across Vraca towards PD Napredak and wait for the exit from the fog, which is unusually high today, almost to „Prvi Šumar“. We parked the car, drank coffee at the lodge and walked slowly along the path towards Dobre vode. We saw all the beauty of that day only after going out on the Western Reef. Strong sun and below us a thick white sea, from which this time not even the tower on Hum protrudes. I look at Bjelašnica in disbelief. Today it is bathed in the sun.
We climbed the ridge to the top, sat in the lee, and took one long break. Warm soup, coffee, tea and enjoyment of the view filled that day. We tried to stay there as long as possible, because the very sight of that cloud in which Sarajevo was located seemed to tell us: don't hurry, let me tell you a little more. Basically, we didn’t forget to make two panoramas from the west and east ridges as well.
The day was slowly coming to an end and it was time to go. In order to be exposed to the sun for as long as possible, we descended the eastern ridge and only at its bottom entered the forest. We arrived at PD Napredak in sunset hour, drank coffee, took a deep breath and then dived into the thick Sarajevo fog.
The trail is suitable for all four seasons and it is not technically demanding.
