The owner, a passionate collector of antiquities and the cultural heritage of Bosnia, decided to present his collection to the public in the original ambience of this Bosnian village. Old cobblestones connect a dozen Bosnian houses built on traditional materials used hundreds of years ago, and this is mostly reflected in the exhibits along the stairs that belong to antiquity and show the improvisation of the first tools and weapons used to build houses at that time.
The most interesting and first seen object is a small village mosque of almost 12 square meters with a wooden minaret where the path leads to the stone steps. Its purpose is not only to show the antiquity and culture of this area, but its doors are open to all visitors who want to perform their regular prayer while on the road and enjoy its hospitality. Within the village there are 12 shops with old crafts, and a museum that displays antiquities and gives the impression that time has stopped in the most beautiful period of antiquity.
If you ever imagined what fairytale houses in the heart of natural landscapes look like, you imagined Ethno Begovo's village. After enjoying traditional Bosnian specialties and numerous activities, it will surely be time to relax.
You can spend the night in the originally decorated Bosnian double or quadruple apartments and rooms. Everything is built from environmentally friendly materials to the highest standards. Even a short stay in the Ethno Begovo Village leaves a lifelong memory and the impression that you were, at least for a short period of time, part of a special fairy tale.
In addition to the clock tower and a small museum, the restaurant has also found its place, with its overall decoration and abundance of details reminiscent of antiquities and traditions. On the high beams, the first thing you will notice are the beautiful old toys that can no longer be found in any shop window.
Restaurant Ethno Begovo selo is a paradise for gourmets. The food is made in the traditional Bosnian way from local products and products from the surrounding villages, served with local drinks.
It is recognized that Nišići is well known for growing the old buckwheat plant, and this rural household boasts numerous local specialties from this plant, including its famous buckwheat donuts.
The hosts leave nothing to chance. They use all the benefits provided by the fertile environment of Nišići for their own agricultural products, such as fruits, vegetables, meat, honey, homemade juices, and other foods from which they prepare delicious specialties for their guests.
The interior walls of the restaurant consist of covers and clippings of magazines and dailies that have operated in BiH for hundreds of years, and include photographs and names of BiH writers, actors, politicians, and artists. A unique atmosphere for unique enjoyment.
For all nature lovers, 3.6 km from the rural household is a real gem - the legally protected natural area of Bijambara. You can choose the way you want to enjoy exploring this natural landscape. You can start your tour with a slow-moving train to enjoy the exploration of the ambience, you can rent a bike, or simply enjoy the scenery on your own.
Whichever option you choose, you will enjoy being surrounded by untouched nature, fresh air, and greenery of the coniferous forest and beautiful pastures, through two streams flow creating small lakes that sink underground.
